Mary: Woman of Favor

"Hail, thou that art highly favored, the LORD is with thee; blessed art thou among women." Luke 1:28
What We Know of Mary:

1. she was a virgin, holding firmly to her purity.
2. God was with her. This showed her relationship with the LORD.
3. she was favored by God. Her faith was strong.
4. she believes in God's promises, regardless of how impossible they seem.
5. she chose to have God's word work in her life.

 How she acted:

• she realized that God's will is more important than her wants/ needs.
• she trusted in the words of the angel of the LORD.
• she humbled herself before the angel. she didn't see herself as worthy of the birth.
• she praised God for His gift.

Questions:

1. would we believe in what God tells us or promises?
2. can we be seen as blessed because of our faith?
3. Are we obediant to God's will for our lives?
4. Are we willing to let God use us for His glory?
5. Do we have or walk in God's favor?
